Lancaster city police are asking the public for help locating a man they say sexually assaulted a woman Saturday night.
Police released photos of a man walking around Lancaster, saying he committed indecent assault against a woman on the 100 block of North Christian Street, on the same block as the Lancaster County Courthouse, around midnight. The man was last seen wearing black clothing, has black hair and was last seen pulling his hood up at the intersection of Orange and North Queen streets.
Before assaulting the woman, surveillance cameras showed the man walking around the area of Queen Street Bistro, the Holiday Inn and the 100 block of North Queen Street, according to police. A person is charged with indecent assault when they non-consensually come into sexual contact with someone, according to state law.
If anyone has information on the man or assault, they can contact Officer Caitlyn Stallings at stallinc@lancasterpolice.com or leave a tip on the department’s Crimewatch webpage.
