Manheim Township and Lancaster Country Day will represent the Lancaster-Lebanon League in the District Three girls tennis team tournament finals after posting semifinal wins Tuesday.
The third-seeded Blue Streaks (18-0) won 3-2 at No. 2 seed Cumberland Valley (15-1) in Class 3A while top-seeded Country Day (15-1) won 4-0 against fourth-seeded Delone Catholic (11-3) in Class 2A semifinal at Lancaster.
Township will meet New Oxford in the final Thursday at 2 p.m. while the Cougars will take on Berks Catholic, a 3-1 winner over Wyomissing Tuesday, for the 2A title at noon, both at Hershey Racquet Club.
Township got a big win at No. 3 singles from Camille Honrade, who won 6-4, 1-6, 6-2. The Streaks won both doubles in straight sets.
Country Day’s Sophia Babar, Monica Lopez and Taylor Smith lost just four games between them in singles.
Meanwhile, fifth-seeded Hempfield (15-3) lost 4-1 at top-seeded and defending champion New Oxford (16-0) and will be at Cumberland Valley Thursday at 4 p.m. in the third-place match. Both already have qualified for the PIAA Tournament; the top three advance in 2A.
The Black Knights’ only win came from Rose Wendel at No. 3 singles.
