Firefighters extinguished a garage fire that was spreading to a dairy barn on a Colerain Township property late Sunday night, according to the Quarryville Fire Company.
Firefighters responded to 83 Academy Road at 10:45 p.m. for a report of a barn fire. A 60-by-40-foot garage was burning and spreading to the dairy barn when crews arrived.
Firefighters stopped the spread and controlled the fire in under one hour, according to the Quarryville Fire Company. They were assisted by the Gap and Bird-in-Hand fire companies.
A fire department representative said no animals were exposed to the fire. Pennsylvania State Police were not called to the fire.
