The Concert for Refugees, a benefit event for the refugees who Church World Service support, returned Sunday afternoon to Tellus360. The concert was held annually from 2016-2019, and then again in 2022. Musicians included Corty Byron, Leo DiSanto, the Nielsen Family Band, Steven Courtney, MOE Blues, Robin Chambers and Liz Fulmer. Funds from the concert go directly toward providing services to local refugees, said Rwamucyo Karekezi, community organizer with Church World Service.
There is a separate GoFundMe page to support Church World Service’s furloughed workers at lanc.news/435dMse. For more information, go to lanc.news/3EI3OTx.
