I was on assignment to take pictures of the Hull family at their home. The family was preparing to leave for Finland. Samantha Hull and her children, Oliver Hull, 8, and CC Hull, 6, will live in Finland until June 11, according to the article by reporter Ashley Stalnecker that ran in the January 22, 2025 edition of the LNP paper. Samantha Hull’s husband and the children’s father, Andrew Hull, will join them several times. Samantha Hull, the head librarian at Ephrata High School, was awarded a grant from the Fulbright Distinguished Award for research in another country. I was taking pictures of the family preparing for their trip to Finland. Oliver Hull, 8, invited me to go with him to his room to show me his glowfish while he was feeding them. Of course, I took a picture of him doing that. Then, CC Hull, 6, came out of her room when I left Oliver’s room to show me something she had received from her aunt (Samantha’s sister)—a keychain camera. She posed like a photographer when she “took” a picture of me. Again, I decided to take a picture too. The Method: THE METHOD: Nikon Z9 with a Nikkor 24-70 mm f-2.8; 1/80th sec; f-5.6; ISO 6400; Processed in Photo Mechanic and Adobe Photoshop.
