Four boys and three girls from Lancaster-Lebanon League lacrosse teams have been named high school All-Americans by USA Lacrosse, it was announced Tuesday.
The honorees are Hempfield’s Jason Hilton, Penn Manor’s Nick Hollinger, Lampeter-Strasburg’s Drexton Frank and Manheim Township’s Bennett Parmer in boys, and Manheim Township’s Olivia Young, Calli Campagna and Alivian Parmer in girls.
The Parmers are siblings.
Selections are based on voting by coaches within each geographical region. The L-L League is in the Pennsylvania-Central region.
Hilton, a senior midfielder, had 60 goals and 11 assists this spring for the Black Knights (12-7), who finished second in L-L Section One, third in District Three Class 3A and qualified for the PIAA Tournament.
Hollinger, a senior goalie, allowed 51 goals and made 164 saves for the Comets (13-6), who reached the District Three Class 3A quarterfinals.
Frank, a senior defender, anchored a defense that allowed 47 goals in 20 games. He also had one goal for the Pioneers (16-4), who went 10-0 in L-L Section Two, finished as the league runner-up and reached the District Three Class 2A quarterfinals.
Bennett Parmer, a senior attack, had 63 goals and 48 assists for the Section One and L-L League champion and District Three Class 3A runner-up Blue Streaks (18-4). Township also reached the PIAA Class 3A quarterfinals.
Young, a senior attack, had 80 goals and 50 assists to help the Blue Streaks (21-4) win the Section One, L-L League and District Three Class 3A titles. Township also reached the PIAA Class 3A semifinals.
Campagna, a senior midfielder, had 48 goals and 30 assists.
Liv Parmer, a sophomore midfielder, had 46 goals and 11 assists. She missed the start of the lacrosse season while recovering from a torn ACL.
