The businesses were paired with golfers as part of the American Express U.S. Women’s Open Player Small Business Spotlight. It’s the third year for the program, which American Express operated at the last two U.S. Women’s Opens in Southern Pines, North Carolina, in 2022 and Pebble Beach, California, in 2023.

Having logos on the athletes’ gear means more people can learn about her business through television and social media exposure, said Nicole Vazquez Taylor, who has operated the city boutique for 13 years and was a sponsor of the Open in 2015. Last year’s U.S. Women’s Open had 2.2 million television viewers. Taylor said she was thrilled to be selected.

“I was really shocked. That was a no-brainer: I couldn’t say no,” she said. “It is like an opportunity of a lifetime.”
