Tait was part of all 10 of Pollstar’s top worldwide tours in 2023, including Taylor Swift’s record-breaking The Eras Tour and Beyonce’s Renaissance tour. The company hinted at its involvement in those shows when it shared tickets to private movie screenings for staff. Tait is limited by nondisclosure agreements about what it can say about its involvement with some concert tours. Here are four live events that Tait did share details on its social media:
Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show
Tait provided flying platforms and automation for a Rihanna halftime show — and captured it with its Navigator camera system.
Madonna The Celebration Tour
Tait’s team created a unique setup that has several integrated stage lifts including a round multilevel stage with integrated lighting that raises to three different tiers and individually revolve as well as a performer flying gantry, automated lighting structures and roll drops, devices like a window shade that drop banners or fabric.
Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour
For Drake’s first headlining tour since 2018, Tait created a square in the center of the arena video deck mainstage complete with video front covering, two video cube lifts and a video integrated scissor lift, as well as a gantry system featuring a new video track truss design that moves several props and inflatables across the arena throughout the show.
U2: UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere residency in Las Vegas
Tait was a part of the video main stage build and area under the stage, and worked with the video company, Fuse, that provided the product that integrated with the Tait stage, according to a report from livedesignonline.com. Tait built a custom raked frame for its video decks to expand the usable space underneath the stage for the teams that maintain instruments and technical aspects behind the scene. Along with the main stage, Tait also provided the winch that pulls approximately 180 foot silk swing to the top of the Sphere.
